Pinhole

Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Pinhole is an Android app published by BetheApp ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone. In short: Pinhole has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and we run no server that receives your data. Everything the app keeps stays on your device.

1. What stays on your phone

2. Permissions and what they are used for

You can turn any of these off at any time in Android Settings. The app keeps working without the optional ones.

3. Purchases (Pinhole Pro)

Pro subscriptions are sold and charged by Google Play. Google processes your payment under the Google Privacy Policy; we never see your name, email address or payment details. The app asks Google Play which Pinhole plan your Google account owns (the plan, when it started and whether it renews) to unlock Pro, and keeps that status on your phone. Because the plan belongs to your Google Play account, "Restore" brings it back on another phone signed in to the same account.

4. Google services the app relies on

The Google Play Store and Google Play services provide billing and the on-device QR code scanner. They may process device information as described in Google's privacy policy. Pinhole adds no other third-party service.

5. Backups

If Android backup is on, Android may include Pinhole's settings in your Google backup, under your backup settings and Google's terms.

6. Your choices

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on a server.

7. Children

Pinhole is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
